Name: Geochelone elephantopus
Habitat: Only found on the Galapagos Island in Ecuador and the Seychelles, north of Madagascar
Diet: Eats vegetation in its natural environment.
Life Span: Considered to have an unlimited life span, but in reality only a few tortoises have lived to be more than 100 years old. The oldest tortoise in captivity lived to 152 years.

Fact: You can figure a tortoise's age by counting the number of rings on each section of its shell.
