Reproduction:
Begins breeding at 2 years of age, usually in the spring. Eleven to 12
months after mating one offspring is born and is up on its feet within
the hour.
Fact:
Zebras give themselves a " mud mask." They roll in the mud,
let it dry, then shake it off, shedding loose hair and dry skin along
with the mud.
