I love the show "All About Cars" and I think that it's really cool that you guys are airing it on the internet. Is there any chance that it will be broadcasted through Real Audio at any faster than 8Kbps? Many time it is hard to understand what is being said. 20Kbps would sound a lot better.

I really miss the Mary Madelyn Show on NEW TALK. She is articulate, interesting and humorous. What happened to this show?

I WISH YOU HAD "BRUCE WILLIAMS" PROGRAM ON 24 HOURS A DAY, 7 DAYS A WEEK. Our local here KVOR1300, plays BRUCE once a week, the other 6 days of the week they bump him to play sports, Y-U-K !!

I Can't beleave how well I can get you in Maryville With only 1000 watts. You guys come in better than 710 KCMO 80 miles away in Kansas city At the power of 5000 watts. (Now I can listen to art bell much more clear!!)

Can't believe it, but I'm really enjoying SLY in the Morning!! Don't agree with his politics most of the time but the show works better than an alarm clock at giving me a good jolt in the morning. Was so disappointed to hear when Tim & Deb's show was going to be replaced with, of all hosts, SLY. But, I do believe he's coming around (maybe grown up a little) since he transferred from that other radio station. Maybe we'll get him to be a card-carrying Republican one day. If I could add my comments also about other programming, I sure do not enjoy "All About Cars". I find Matt Joseph to be so condescending and self-righteous, and his side-kick doesn't really add much besides giggles. Keep up the good work SLY, I ALSO LIKE YOUR PUNDENT PANELS!

It is more than past time to dump Dr Dean. The man is almost as egotistical as Slick Willie, and that's saying a lot!! Everything revolves around him and his huge ego. It's no wonder he doesn't practice medicine any more.

When i tune in to 1670 all i get is low talking. the dial 1480 is some station in Kane County IL. Back when you are on 1480 i got 1480 as am 1480 WTDY now that you are on 1670 i get some station i don`t know were they say AM1480 and play oldies music. is that you or is it another station?

Any chance 1670 will be live over the internet, it would be great to listen in at work over the net with my computer. Any plans to get live? I listen in when I am in Madtown.

I'm trying to listen to this weeks All About Cars on RealAudio and there is nothing but garbage for two hours. It sounds like the transfer was made with an open ground wire. Doesn't anybody check this stuff??

Deb, Heard your comments about the smoking breaks in the work place. If you actually check the statutes, you'll find that there is nothing requiring an employer to give breaks of any kind to anyone but minors. I am here in Chicago subs and can pick you up - not great but listenable!! I am glad that you have ART BELL on - so when I am in town you will have a 100% listener. He's fantastic!! CLASSIC RADIO!! Fun, fact, fantasy, far out - makes you laugh and think!!

I don't usually agree with Sly much, but I admire his tenacity and ability to admit that he listens to Rush, because I don't always believe or agree with what Rush says. WTDY is a great station, and Sly has been a great addition to your lineup.

I really enjoyed Sly’s program on “Why I moved out of Madison.” I think it would be a great civic service if he did this once a month.

I think it's about time to dump Dr Dean all together. He is arrogant, rude, and condescending. I was listening to him today in my car, and he was talking about debunking psychics. Fine. But his comment was that only lonely, single, unhappy women call psychic hotlines, and he followed it up with a falsetto, "Hi. Am I going to meet my future husband soon?" Or something to that effect. More and more, I find myself turning him off due to his callous, unthinking, demeaning remarks. Why not replace him with Mary Matalin again? Or run the last hour of Mike Reagan's show live. For Pete's sake, rerun the first hour of Sly. Anything would be better!!!

I was pleased that you were going to boost signal strength so that I could finally hear you without static. So, why do I still have to listen to 1480? I can pick up 1670 on my digital tuner, but the signal strength is less than 1480. What gives?

I don't think anyone at the station reads this stuff. I sent them a message telling them I was listening to 1670 here in the Denver area on July 11th and followed it up with a written reception report and have had no reply to either.

Any chance of getting the Black Avenger back on? I always like Ken Hamblin's show.

Wow, 1670am is nearly clear with little static. Pretty amazing for 1kw.

From time to time I listen for a few minutes to Rush Limbaugh. I am getting concerned that anyone who spends 15 + hours a week on one topic, Clinton, maybe in the toaster a bit too long. The people that call in aredef- initely worrisome. Only Hitler ranted more ab bout the Jews in every 2 or 3 hr speech he gave and he gave many. Can't he tone it down just abit? And can't he call CUBA CUBA? If I were of Spainish ancestory I would consider that an insult, like referring to this country as the united flakes or something.

HI jeremy again it is true that the 1480 signal is much clearer than the 1670 one. when i turn on 1670 down here it sounds like the volume is down. the 1480 dial com es in like i am in madison. I think you were alot better off on 1480. you should of put wtda on 1670. than again maby not.

I can get the 1670 signal down here. i can also get the 1480 one. i like the music that 1480 plays hope they stay that way until shutdown in four years

Just wanted to let you know I've been listening to your station on 1670 tonight here in the Denver area. I'll be sending you a reception report.

Tuned in last week from the car here in central Minnesota 45 miles west of Minneapolis and had no trouble recieving the 1670 daytime signal nighttime signals are excellent S-9

I have been performing an informal survey of AM radio receivers and have come to a disturbing conclusion. While late model digital portable and component receivers do tune to 1670, I have yet to find a single car radio which does! This includes several 1990 models. According to your newspaper coverage, radio receivers sold in the US after 1990 were mandated by the FCC to tune beyond 1600. Yet all the car radios I have tested stop at 1620. This includes a 1995 Ford Truck. Is it possible that your marketing information overstated the actual installed listener numbers based upon an FCC regulation which has NOT been well implemented? Replacing an FM Stereo, AM, stereo cassette desk in an auto can be expensive--few would be willing to do so just to receive one station. Perhaps more market research would be in order before you let your license for 1480 go!

I too have reception problems with 1670. My home stereo can not pick up the signal at all, even though the dial goes to 1710. This may be attributed to a poor antenna. I work in Sun Prairie and the reception is better on 1480 than 1670, no matter what time of the day I listen. Any suggestions...

On the far east side of Madison I get 1.480 much better than the new 1.670, 20 S units better. I was in Princeton, WI tonight and I could pick up 1.480 in the car but 1.670 was nothing but static. Same was true all along highway 151 coming back to Madison. 1.480 is much better, at least at night, NE of Madison and on the far east side. What is the deal? Do others notice this as well? WTDY says it should be so much better on 1.670, so far in my travels it is much weaker than 1.480. Is something wrong with the new transmitter or is this the way it is going to be? If this is the way it will be, I will not be tuning in WTDY anymore at night. Will have to get Art Bell at .890 WLS. They come in better from Chicago than 1.670 right here in town. 1.670 is on a clear channel, too bad it does not live up to the advertising. WTDY is just wasting their money if this is how good the new 1.670 is going to work. Is it beaming to the west or what?
